i was afraid of that :-) but the price of the UAD's is a little steep for me, so guess i'm gonna have to make better use of what i've got already, but i still have a lot to learn.

The UA stuff is unfortunately very important to the mix. I deactivated all the plugins a few minutes ago and what you should here is "interesting" ;) In particular the vocal tracks. The truth is: i have an obsession for the UA hardware and software stuff, so i can't tell you if i could archive the same results with "out of the box" ableton plugins. Most of the times i know or can remember the sound of the original outboard gear, so i'am in the position to only "dial in" exactly the hearing experience on the UA DSP powered plugin. Bottom line: yes, it is essential to the mix ;)

noticed that when opening, since i don't have any UA stuff. you think that's something essential to your sound, or could it be done with other plugins, and that the UA hardware is good for the DSP power outside the computer

i've pulled the project to have a look and learn something! :-) really like how it the mix sounds
