Originally hailing from Malta but a long time resident of New York City, DJ Surv had been exposed to the sounds of electronic music since his teenage years, in particular techno and after also digging further into the electronic music genre and growing fond of groups such as Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode and New Order, he decided to pursue his dream of becoming a DJ and picked up a pair of Technics turntables a few years back and has never looked back. He is a member Astoria DJ Group (A.D.G.) based here in NYC and has also recently joined DEX Records based in New York as well. DJ Surv has made appearances in various venues throughout NYC including RVL, Recoup Lounge, UC Lounge, Vig Bar, Nana, Hachi, Tenjune, Marquee, Affaire, the MC and also at various venues on his home island of Malta during the summers of 2010 and 2011. His musical style is a blend of funky minimal and tech-house along with elements of Detroit Techno and also as of late has been incorporating a lot of Deep House tracks into his mixes and is looking to start producing some Deep House tracks. Read MoreA track I made a few months back and found the project files and wanted to share with you all and feel free to pull and collaborate. So far it has more if a deep techno / electro vibe to it, would be cool to see what you all could do with it. Something more uptempo would be cool.
