assignment 3 for Intro to Ableton from Berklee Online. i was inspired by the slice to midi trick i learned from the class. I started with a sample from the movie Pain & Gain and sliced it to midi, transposed it and step sequenced it to a rhythm track. i based the whole song around this rhythm track, added midi some space bass using Push to perform. I used Max for Live Convolution Pro Reverb on the drums to get that weird erie sound… My wife played piano on the on 2 tracks that i did and audio to midi conversion and made one track into a sort of syphoned out grand piano and the other track i put Operator on and made it sort of percussive… it was a lot of fun making this track and applying the production tricks that i learned.
