Emani, born May 6, 1992 as Christian Terry-Smith, is a rapper, producer, songwriter and composer from Pasadena, California. The step-son of a musician, Emani began his career at an early age by first learning the piano, then expanding to writing lyrics, producing and playing the talk box. Inspired by artists and producers such as 2Pac, Nas, DJ Quik, Kanye West, Q-Tip, J Dilla and Dr. Dre, Emani totes himself as a "music historian", blending various influences to create his own unique sound. In recent years, Emani has had numerous accomplishments including the release of an instrumental project called 'The Demo 2K15', mentorship by the legendary DJ Battlecat, as well creating a partnership with Realsongs' chief engineer Mario Luccy, and working with many artists and producers, including Trademark Da Skydiver, Dae One, Skhye Hutch, and Cy Fyre. At the moment, Emani is finishing his second project, the 5AM EP, readying his first full length album, entitled 'Reprogram', and working with collaborators.
