Covet, the San Francisco Bay Area trio that creates lush math-meets-post rock, released their LP Effloresce on Triple Crown Records this past July. On Effloresce, produced by Mike Watts (The Dear Hunter, O’Brother, Gates, The Dillinger Escape Plan), Covet has perfected the mix of soundscapes with the subtle technical intricacies of progressive rock in their ultra-tight songwriting. Before they leave for their upcoming Fall US tour, they are inviting the Blend community to remix their single “Shibuya” which features Sander van Dijck, better known as San Holo.
Are you game to remix the stems for “Shibuya”?
Here's how to get involved:
- Pull the stems for “Shibuya” from Covet’s profile
- Create your remix in your DAW of choice
- Publish your updated remix by December 16th to be considered a winner and have your remix reviewed by Covet
And that’s it!
Covet will review all of the remix submissions while they tour across America and pick one grand prize winner to receive a custom painted Meris Ottobit Jr pedal and ROLI’s Equator. Two runnerups will be mentioned on social media and gifted Equator by ROLI. Make sure to publish your update by December 16th for your remix to be heard! Let’s start collaborating Covet!
The Blend community published 35+ incredible remixes of "Shibuya” and we enjoyed listening to every one of them. After Covet streamed all of their remixes while they were on tour, they have picked Daniel Rivera as the grand prize winner who will receive a Meris Ottobit Jr pedal and Equator by ROLI. The two runner ups that were selected are Derocc and ghost coast who will receive Equator. Congrats!!! Listen to these talented producers below and stay tuned for upcoming production challenges:
