The Album Leaf have delivered yet another sonic triumph with their recent release Between Waves, out now on Relapse Records. The album is the first proper full length to be recorded and produced as a complete band, and was written with greater emphasis on the group dynamic. Each track on the album is filled with multifaceted, meticulous sound design, and beautifully composed music.
The Album Leaf are now taking things to the next level with these expansive instrumentations by handing to the Blend community the stems for their euphoric rhythmic intro track “False Dawn”. Explore and share your interpretations!
Here’s How To Get Involved:
- Pull “False Dawn” by The Album Leaf
- Create your remix in your DAW of choice
- Publish your update by November 7th to be reviewed.
The Album Leaf will review all of the submissions and announce winning projects on Blend in October. The grand prize winner will be rewarded the polysynth software Strobe2 from our newly acquired family members at FXpansion, along with an Album Leaf t-shirt, the Between Waves LP, plus a pair of tickets to see them on their upcoming tour. Runners-up will receive the Between Waves LP plus a pair of tour tickets. The tour takes place in North America and Europe; check out the dates and locations below. Let’s start remixing!

The Album Leaf & Relapse Records would like to everyone involved remixing "False Dawn". During their tour the band sat down to listen to all of the remixes and pick the winners. We are excited to share that Teen Daze has been selected as the grand prize winner and the runner ups are magø and U-Ree.
