Thomas Giles (Between The Buried And Me) Invites You To Remix “Eris”, Win Prizes from Izotope, Toontrack & More
This feature has ended. We'd like to thank everyone who participated -- you are what makes this community great. Join us in congratulating the winner(s)!
Thomas Giles (aka Tommy Rogers) is known for his work throughout the years in various metal projects and known for visionary vocals and keyboards in Between The Buried and Me. He recently released his second album Velcro Kid on Sumerian Records. Thomas reflected on the creative process for Velcro Kid sharing “I wanted to step outside of my comfort zone and channel a part of me that I haven’t explored yet. Taking a more electronic stance was a very natural evolution for me at this moment. The outcome was something I never would have imagined and I’m very excited for the world to hear what’s been in my head for the last couple of years. This is my next chapter, and I’m already looking forward to where my music will go in the future.”
Now Thomas invites you to take his music even further remixing the stems for “Eris”. Are you ready to collaborate?
Heres how to get started:
- Pull “Eris” by Thomas Giles
- Create your remix in your DAW of choice
- Publish your update to "Eris" project by January 30th to submit your remix.
Thomas Giles and Blend will check out all of the submissions in late January and announce the Grand Prize winner to receive Neuron by Izotope and Superior Drummer 2 by Toontrack. Second Place will win a copy of EZkeys by Toontrack and Neuron by Izotope. Third Place will receive ROLI’s multidimensional sofware Equator. Check out Thomas creating music on the Seaboard RISE.
Thomas Giles had the pleasure of listening to all of the "Eris" remixes while he is currently on tour. He was very pleased with all of the submissions and shared "I really enjoyed how everyone really changed the song around and made it a totally new beast. Thank you for the opportunity and more importantly thanks to the fans for creating such interesting adaptations of Eris. It was very hard to choose just one."
Thomas has selected Super G as the Grand Prize Winner, U-ree at Second Place, and Ok_Producer at third place! We would like to thank Toontrack and Izotope for contributing to sponsoring prizes for this contest!
