I used to make my own music back in the late 80s with a Casio CZ-101, a Yamaha DX7, a Roland TR-808, and a Tascam 4-track tape recorder. I did all my sequencing on a Commodore 64, which had just 64 KB of RAM. I forget the name of the DAW. My influences then were Jean-Michel Jarre, Enigma, Kraftwerk, and all of the great, and not so great, synthesizer bands that started something that just keeps on going under various names such as Trance, Electronica, House, and so on. I'm a big fan of uplifting, vocal trance, especially with female singers. My own music tends to be more of the Electronica variety, often with an EDM groove.
