My influences then were Jean-Michel Jarre, Enigma, Kraftwerk, and all of the great, and not so great, synthesizer bands that started something that just keeps on going under various names such as Trance, Electronica, House, and so on. I'm a big fan of uplifting, vocal trance, especially with female singers. My own music tends to be more of the Electronica variety, often with an EDM groove.

A simple synthpop style piece, dedicated to the memory of Edgar Froese 1944-2015. It was created using solely the ANA synth from Sonic Academy but if you don't have it, no problem. The stems are in the Stems folder. I'd be very pleased to hear what you can do with it.

Thanks for your kind comments. The filter sweeps were using Ana's own filters, some of which are quite unique. I used some presets and programmed some of my own patches. I also had an ST back in the day, but decided to go the PC route.

That is an incredible sounding synth! Did you use the synth itself for the filter sweeps, or were they added through plugins? I has to laugh about the Commodore 64- I started sequencing on one also, I'm racking my brain to remember the name of it-had a clunky midi interface that stuck out of the back of the keyboard- but wow, for back in the day it was pretty cool. I then moved up to an Atari 1040 ST running Hybrid Arts SMPTE Track, then on to the Mac Classic with Performer....never looked back after the Mac. Cheers, you're music is awesome!
