Celebrating my 50th blend with a Remix of Ethnicolor from JMJ's Zoolook. JMJ is one of the musicians that got me into electronic music. Last week I watched a biografical piece about him on arte.tv (it's still on their website). There Moby talked about his experience listening to JMJ's Oxygene for the first time. That describes exactly what I felt. All those fizzing and bubbling synths, that wonderful melodie, those arps ... that was new and innovative. Kraftwerk was great, but this was awesome. Now I took one of the tracks from Zoolook and gave it the EDM treatment. The iconic vocal-sample-lead is played here via Alter/Ego a free vocal synth plugin. The beat was created with samples from the Soundhunters Project, only layered with an additional Kick. The synth FX are Maschine samples from add Packs. Put up the stems for you to pull and play ... enjoy.
