So before I started using Garageband in 2015, I produced all my music using hardware. No computers. My workstation was an Ensoniq ASRX Sampler. I would mix everything down on a Roland VS880 and then burn a CD. Fun but very tedious and my mixes were trash. So I've decided to go back and grab a few of my pre-DAW remixes and remaster them in Garageband and share them on Blend. This first one, "The Negotiation Limmerick File", is technically not a remix but more of a mashup. All I did was sample a bar from Funkadelic's "Not Just Knee Deep" and loop it. The lyrics are from the vinyl acapella that I spun in real time on my Denon turntable. The mix still isn't great but I hope you like it. I will be sharing more of these early remixes soon.
