3 Audio, 5 Midi tracks
Progress:Rough Draft
This is my preview for Assignment 1 Project of Introduction to Ableton Live MOOC.
I used 5 midi tracks in the song : 1/Drums, 2/NI Massive, 3/Bass 4/Pad, 5/Arp Synth and 2 Audio tracks for a loop from the Ableton library, and a downlifter sample.
I created each clip in session view using my PC keyboard and manipulating where needed. The bass was quantised.
All arrangement was originally done in Session view, which I have never done before, but now I think it might be how I work stuff in future.
I have added some automation on to pan the downlifter and the adjust the volume on the drum track.

Nice sound, I would say needs some more variation.

I am distraught in that it had to end.

Nice track. I need to start using Massive more myself. It is such an awesome tool. The Session view is the feature that sold me on buying Ableton Live.

Cool intro. good to hear that you Quantized, so many folks miss that even though it was in the class and it is so important. I wish the entire song would build as does the intro

Well done Chris.. Nice atmosphere in this.. I close my eyes and Im in a massive tent in a sea of people, green lasers shooting over us, picking up in the fog. This does sound kinda dark and foreboding. It truly has the dna of a 'monster' track.

When all the instuments finally come in at about 1:10 it is certainly more interesting. Seems like had to wait a long time for them, then at all went away rather quick

I found myself humming the main melody from the Doctor Who theme tune along with this. Made me smile. Good work, Chris.
