Berklee Coursera Introduction to Ableton: Assignment3: Slivered Shadow.
Was struggling to create space in the previous assignments so decided to make that the main focus of this more laid-back piece. Probably best to just relax and listen through some good headphones. Played around a lot with how I bring in and out various instruments, how they move through the piece, and wanted to create a sort of narrative in the process.
I recorded the initial guitar parts and built everything else around that. I converted the melodic guitar into MIDI and split it up to create the initial string melody (Although it's been heavily modified at this point).
Didn't get a chance to add any max stuff but looks super fun.

Really interesting track. Subtle build. String entry at 3:35 is just what's needed at that point. Crunchy snow!

Very nice...I love the hashtag #Crunchy Snow, If I was so inclined, I think a joint would be in order to accompany that tune!

I love this. This I would call magical, cool, soothing, inspirational and a bloody good piece.

I guess it has the good of both worlds. The good and natural sounding FX and it's also very musical, that's what kept my attention. Really nice work David.

Liking how this turned out, may tweak some of the levels though.
