When I wrote it about a year ago, it was the first thing I'd written in a number of years and the first full song I'd recorded on computer. It's pretty raw and basic, but I quite like that. However, it would be good to hear some more instrumentation - or I think some female backing vocals would work really well in the chorus....
I froze all the tracks that were dependent on external plugins - just in case other people don't have them
The song itself is about the dullness of the commute to work, but how the simplest thing can sometimes break through the drudgery and bring a smile to your face.

--- Words ---
Another day, Another dollar
And still I don't know whether to spit or swallow
The drive to work to earn some crust
The wants turned to needs and the needs to must
The traffic laid out before me in a stutter
We're chained along behind each other
Hands on the wheel, but the hands don't turn
My mind aches dully where it used to burn
But then the simplest thing
It breaks the wall of hardened skin
The tired eyes, they quicken to alert the soul -
Is there hope within this after all?
A few notes of a chord
A reflection, an idea, a light, a forgotten word
But the tired mind
My hired much maligned mind
Keeps on coming back to me
Keeps on coming back to me
What else could I be
Another boat in the sea
Travel the same roads each and everyday
Theres a groove in the road through repetitive play
My eyes catch on a distant plane
A passing lorry rattles the window pane
Return to the scene, the radio chatters
The newsman pretending something matters
Distant violence, pestilence, drought
While the traffic congests at the roundabout

Probably done from my perspective, but simple and basic enough for someone else to add some elements or completely remix it.
