This originally started with a piece of audio from a sample pack. I converted it to midi, cleaned it up so it was just a pure chord progression and the rest of the track was born from there after a few days of hard work. Live's session view is very powerful for sketching out ideas. You hear a lot of people say it, but once you start using it in that way, you wonder why you didn't use it sooner. So once I have the initial idea down, I record a basic intro, mid, end part into arrangement view and then just work the rest of the track out in the arrangement view from there.
