Emika is a multi-faceted producer, singer/songwriter, composer, DJ and sound designer who defies convention with her sonic amalgamation of classical beauty and otherworldly textures. After releasing the acclaimed DVA and Emika albums via Ninja Tune, Emika launched her own label Emika Records with the Melancholia Euphoria 12”, followed in quick succession by her lauded piano opus Klavirni, her third full studio album DREI and the DREI Remixes EP. She recently unleashed the gorgeous and mysterious Flashbacks EP (featuring soprano Michaela Strumova who is also the star of Emika’s upcoming orchestral symphony); it shows Emika is continuing to evolve a sound that is deeply human yet infused with daring electronic explorations.
Emika invites you to remix the title track “Flashbacks”, which incorporates her velvety voice soaring over pulsating, filtered synth delays, low register piano bass lines, and a stuttering beat co-produced by The Exaltics.

We would like to thank everyone in the Blend community who contributed a remix to Emika's "Flashbacks" as well as all of the sponsors involved and Emika herself! The Blend community created 200+ incredible versaitile remixes of "Flashbacks", and made Emika very happy.
Emika expressed her thoughts with us after reflecting on the entire experience sharing "I had the best time listening to everyone's music and I checked out a lot of the artists profiles online to see what other music they make. I love connecting with other creatives and I'm so happy that all kinds of interesting people from around the world entered our Flashbacks remix competition."
