This past summer Lydia Loveless released her follow up album Real via Bloodshot Records and has garnered attention from notable places such as NPR, Rolling Stone, Stereogum and more. She teamed up with producer Joe Viers (Dr. John, Twenty One Pilots) and recorded it in her in her hometown at Sonic Lounge Studios in Columbus, Ohio. Lydia reflected on her new material for this record sharing “There was a lot to say this time around and I wanted to return to that sort of playground and (sometimes literally) throw things at the wall. Whereas our previous records could be described as blunt or raw, this one I wanted to be known as honest, as true, as real (rimshot)” .
