This is my first ever attempt at creating something in Abelton Live. I must say I think I finally broke through understanding the software now. I have always loved guitar and wanted to incorporate a little riff here and there into the song. Goal was to keep simple and somewhat mellow and a 'soft' track. I wanted to add a vocal track of my own as well but a) kids were asleep and b) I had some stock clips to add in for a little variety. Used a simple pattern for the beat and then mid-way layered in a secondary drum track. It was fun. I am getting the hang of this :-) thanks for listening.

Thanks Bransen, I really enjoyed making this track, took some time to get into the groove but I think I found it

Hi Gabriel, I have a push and just used it with increased sensitivity. I think I may have also adjusted the velocity on certain notes.

@Bruno Marsala No, I meant the violin section. They sounded surprisingly natural. Most vsts have trouble emulating the start of the bow and note tones.

Thanks for the feedback guys, @Gabriel when you ask about the Midi strings, actually I am assuming you mean the guitar because there is a violin section at the end but the guitar is plugged in via my Duet audio interface and is considered an audio track not midi and I simply play along manually on my guitar and it picks it up and puts it in the arrangement.

Really nice guitar sound. Nice work!

Guitar track sounds amazing! Also what did you do to get midi strings to sound like that?

Thanks Sumo Jo, I produce corporate video and so I think understanding the 'flow' of a scenes in a logical linear fashion works better for me. For the longest time I couldn't get my head around the vertical UI in ableton and then bringing it all back to arrangement, once in arrangement made more sense. Slowly getting the hand of it. Have to say I think I opened up a Pandora's box, this is gonna be a lot of fun. Hey from your mouth to God's ears, maybe one day i will have my own album :-) Best of success on the course.

Your smooth transitions and easy style got me hooked right away. I am a guitarist too, and just starting to learn digital music creation. I will be following you to see how you progress. Very cool. Can I buy your album? ;-)

Thanks Micheal and Andrew appreciate the feedback. Felt kinda weird putting something out there that felt so new and never done before. This is gonna be fun.

...sorry for typo - hit send to quickly. Meant to say "emerges". Also like your string section drop at 1:36. Cool chopped & screwed style vocal pattern starting at 2:00. Nice mellow track all around. Will be listening to it again.

Nice drop at 0:50 with the guitar slides as the new drum pattern emergees

Good job, Bruno.

Oh and I used my Push and my Casio PX-150 keyboard. I was going to add my own vocals too but just found an audio clip to add some sort of voice track.

You got start somewhere....this is my first crack at it on my own and trying to finally understand Ableton. I brought my six string in and tried to make something unique.

It's my first ever thing I have done in Ableton and put together
