This is my first assignment for the Berklee Ableton Live course. I've done DJ mixes for years using Ableton, but never have produced. I put together a hypnotic and dark techno track for my first go-around. I tried to put a definitive beginning, middle and end to the track with room to mix in and out. Proud that i made it to this point and can't wait to see how far this can go. Thanks for listening.

It's really a great class. I get to hear really good projects like yours and can finally let go with Ableton and be creative. Awesome. Agree with you 100 percent. Have learned so much since week 1. Best to you.

thanks @Jack McREYNOLDS for your good advice! may have to revisit this one and apply some of those ideas.. especially now that we have learned so much more since week 1. thanks again. Eve

Like to see growth in the form of a build up to a break, a change, maybe another break before peaking and then unwinding to the end. Looks like there is a long passage where the sound is the same or with subtle changes. This might help to hold the attention and excite the dance floor.

An experienced Ableton user friend suggests I follow up each 'save' with a 'collect all and save' command located in the same menu, every time I save out of an abundance of caution. He says why not?

I preferred your second assignment, but in this one, one can see your DJ background, it works !

hey bryan, thanks for the feedback. good stuff! wonder if i can go back and re-save the project with 'collect all and save' ?

Tried pulling the project, it seems you didn't Collect All and Save your project. =)

I like the bass line, it's got groove. :) Try to tweak the drums more, change up the high hat patterns maybe. To create movement? Yeah something like that.

it's my first attempt, but sounds further along than a rough draft.. however not sure if it's completely ready either.
