@John Benjamin thanks man, I still think it needs a better piano vst. The standard Ableton one is okay, but I would like to try some others. Any ideas?

The biggest thing I struggled with was making the drums to soft obviously, but also finding the right balance with layering and compression. Another question I have is making snares roll properly. Instead of hearing the "one-armed-drummer" effect, if you know what I mean. Cheers fellas! Thanks again

Great Track! I love the warm sounds and the overall build up of this track. For the Drums - first try a Drumbus setup. (Laying Bassdrum on a separate layer and sidechain all other layers with a compressor. But be carefull, or you will get this annoying pumping effect ;)

Try adding Multiband Dynamics - Restore Punch preset to drums and tweak that to get the drums pop up more. Also try some heavy EQing and compression. And as @Anthony Loderstedt said, Ozone FTW! Great track btw ;)

Izotope makes it. They have Alloy as well and a couple other VSTs that I know nothing about. I use Ozone 4 if I'm not mistaken. Its amazing though man. I think they're on 5 now. I definitely recommend it though :)

I have seen it around a lot but not sure which one I need, that would help me the most. They have all kinds of VSTs

Do you have Ozone? I swear by that plug-in for master clean up :) such an amazing almost fix-all. You're awesome Ciliptis :D get to writing some more awesome stuff and I'll try to do the same hehehe

although what I really need to get better at is making them fuller and louder, I have a tendency to drown them out with other sounds and elements. Practice makes perfect

@Anthony Loderstedt I have at least 8 packs from them and a few other good ones I've obtained over the years. They are somewhat frowned upon but they are fun and easy to get. Not everyone can go sample their own drums easily. They are great to mash together, maybe 4 or 5 snare sounds into one wav sound to make a new sound. So really the possibilities are endless. I do love them so cheers to that!

Get a Vengeance sample pack. Best building blocks for drums ever. I usually don't layer because I'm lazy but they're great drums either way :) And keep writing awesome tunes!

I appreciate that :P @Anthony Loderstedt drums are my weakness now and I am trying to get better at. It's kind of sad really because Drums are the foundation for this style of music
